📋 Quick summary: FLUX has no servers of its own. All your data stays on your device. We show ads via Google AdMob and ask for your consent before any tracking.

1. Who we are

FLUX – Trading Journal ("the App", "we") is an iOS application developed by an independent solo developer. You can reach us at: flux.support.app@gmail.com

2. Data we collect and how we use it

2.1 Data stored locally on your device

FLUX does not have a backend or remote database. All data you enter is stored exclusively in localStorage on your device via WKWebView. The App requires no registration or login credentials. Data stored includes:

Profile photo (compressed and saved as a JPEG image in localStorage)
Trades entered (pair, direction, dates, lot size, result, etc.)
Trading goals and daily targets
Trading diary notes
Language and theme settings
Trading sub-account information (names and associated data)

This data stays on your device and is deleted if you uninstall the App or clear the App's data from iOS Settings.

2.2 Advertising – Google AdMob

The App displays advertisements via Google AdMob (Google LLC). AdMob may collect data to personalise ads in accordance with its own Privacy Policy. Before any tracking, the App:

Requests your consent via Google's UMP (User Messaging Platform) dialog, compliant with GDPR and CCPA
Requests the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission on iOS 14+

If you decline, AdMob will continue to show non-personalised ads. You can revoke consent at any time in iOS Settings (Settings > Privacy > Tracking).

AdMob uses SKAdNetwork for conversion measurement on iOS, which does not require personally identifiable data.

2.3 Camera and photo library

The "Profile Photo" feature lets you take a photo with your camera or choose an image from your photo library. Access occurs only when you explicitly request it. The image is:

Compressed to a maximum of 400×400 pixels in JPEG format (75% quality)
Saved locally in localStorage on your device
Never transmitted to any external server

iOS will ask for your permission the first time you access these features. You can revoke permissions in Settings > FLUX > Camera / Photos.

2.4 Files and attachments

Some App features may allow you to select files from your device (e.g. to import data). Files are processed locally and are not uploaded to remote servers.

3. Data we do NOT collect

We do not collect our own usage or analytics data
We do not send data to our own servers
We do not collect or store personally identifiable data (name, email, password or similar)
We do not share personal data with third parties (other than AdMob, as described above)
We do not use our own profiling cookies

4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

For users in the European Union, the legal basis for processing local data is the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), as the data is necessary to provide the App's features. For personalised advertising, the legal basis is consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time.

5. Your rights

Since data is stored locally on your device, you can:

Access your data directly within the App
Delete all data directly in the App: go to Profile → Delete all data. This permanently removes all your data (trades, diary notes, goals, sub-accounts, profile photo) from the device. The action is immediate and irreversible.
Delete all data alternatively by uninstalling the App or clearing the App's data in iOS Settings → FLUX → Reset
Edit your data using the editing features available in the App
Withdraw consent for personalised ads in Settings > Privacy > Tracking

6. Data security

Local data is protected by iOS's app sandbox, which prevents other apps from accessing it. We recommend protecting your device with a passcode or Face ID/Touch ID to prevent unauthorised access to data stored in the App.

7. Children

The App is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you are aware of a minor using the App, please contact us at the address provided.

8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy periodically. When we do, we update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
